When I founded SF Adventure Tours in 2015, I planned on an outdoor theme and focus. Since then thousands of guests have enjoyed my city tour, called the “Fogcutter Urban Adventure”. The name “Fogcutter” refers to my style - I bring a ton of fun and energy to all my tours to cut through the gloomy fog that so often enshrouds our City by the Bay* and I am changing the name of the company to match this attitude.

All vouchers, gifts certificates and reservations under “SF Adventure Tours” are still on the books. I will be bringing a new vehicle into service, a new website, and some new products but I will continue to provide just one small-group tour per day that showcases the best of San Francisco with warmth, humor and a ton of fun. You can go straight to Fogcutter Tours below.

Cheers, Eric Schaefer

*The name also refers to a classic “tiki” drink popularized in SF bars in the 1950s when “Trader Vic” Bergeron invented the drink as a way to brighten up the spirits of his patrons on a foggy San Francisco night and it soon became popular worldwide. Trader Vic’s closed long ago, but these days you can try the Fogcutter at the Tonga Room at the Fairmont hotel or Smuggler’s Cove in Hayes Valley.
